Arrests

Carley L. Ash, 19, of Mount Vernon was picked up on a warrant late Monday.

Dustin Shinabery, 33, of Mount Vernon was cited Tuesday morning for driving under a financial responsibility suspension.

Carrie Cree, 36, of Mount Vernon was picked up on a warrant Tuesday afternoon.

Accidents

Late Monday morning, Susan J Howman, 70, of Ashland was traveling northbound on S. Main Street in her 2007 Buick Lucerne.  Shawn Dennis, 48, of Mount Vernon was headed the same direction but in the neighboring lane.  As she approached Vine Street, Howman attempted to move left into the left turn lane.  She struck Howman’s 1999 Dodge Durango behind the right front wheel and told an officer that she hadn’t seen Dennis’s vehicle.  Howman was cited for improper lane usage.

Incidents

Early Tuesday morning, officers were dispatched to the T.S.C. on Coshocton Avenue on report of an alarm.  Upon arrival, they checked the outside of the building and found it to be secure.  A keyholder also responded and reset the alarm.

An officer was dispatched to a Follin Avenue apartment Tuesday night to respond to a reported theft.  The victim reported that 29 pills of Cymbalta, 86 of Xanax, 144 syringe needles, a half-bottle of Humalog, three-quarters of a bottle of Lantus, and 23 doses of Simvastin had been taken.  A True-Track LG cell phone was also missing.
