On
Friday, June 29, Knox County Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster sentenced Keith W. Carder, 23, Mount Vernon, to 36
months in prison for Attempted Child Endangering. On November 27, 2011, Carder caused serious
physical harm to an infant he was caring for while the child’s mother was at
work. Thatcher said Carder and the
child’s mother were living together at the time. Detective Tom Bumpus, Knox County Sheriff’s
Office, investigated the case.
Larry A. Fox
, 28, Howard, was
convicted of Receiving Stolen Property and Forgery for possessing four stolen
checks and forging the handwriting on the checks, on January 3 and 9, 2012. Fox was sentenced to 11 months in prison and
ordered to pay restitution to the 79 year old victim who lives in a nursing
home.
Detective
Corporal Matt Dailey,
Mount Vernon Police Department, investigated the case. In a separate case on May 20, 2011, Fox was
placed on a three year term of community control supervision for breaking and
entering. Judge Eyster revoked Fox’s
supervision because of the new felony convictions, and then sentenced Fox to an
11 month prison term served concurrently with the sentence in the new case.
