April is Child Abuse Neglect Prevention Month and the Knox County Department of Job & Family Services is organizing a Community Night Monday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mount Vernon High School Theater.
Everyone is invited to this free event to learn more about the agency, as well as its current efforts to recruit foster parents.
Speakers will include:
Matthew Kurtz, KCDJFS Director
Jennifer Springer, KC Juvenile Court Judge
Scott Boone, KCDJFS Children Services Administrator
Panel of Children Services Staff
A former foster child and current foster parent
Packets will be available to anyone interested in serving the families of Knox County as a foster parent.
