DANVILLE – You don’t have to be from the big city to produce toe-tapping, first-rate entertainment. This year, the Danville-Howard Turkey Festival will showcase not one, not two, but three incredible groups.
The Devault Ridge Band kicks everything off on Thursday night with their high energy contemporary country and crowd pleasing classic country performance. A high-energy, fun party rock-n-roll band King Darwin will entertain you Friday night. They will have you dancing in the street with their great stage energy. Six Miles to Nellie will close the Turkey Festival on Saturday night with their range of original and “Nellified” songs known and obscure – all of which delight their audience. The Danville Jazz band is also set to perform.
Highlights of this year’s Festival will include performances by a wide variety of musicians and performers including The Devault Ridge Band, King Darwin, and Six Miles to Nellie. The activities will also include Gigantic Inflatable Rides, delicious food, crafts, games, the Little Miss/Mr. Turkey Contest, the Officer Tom Cottrell Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk, a car & truck show, Lazer Tag, Corn Hole Tournament and the annual Turkey Festival Parade. The Festival will once again close the event with its annual display of fireworks on Saturday, June 18th. Scheduling information and other applications can be found on the web at TurkeyFestival.info.
