On 2-11-17, Justin L. Pfeiffer, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Mount Vernon Municipal Court. He was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

On 2-11-17, Billy Jackson turned himself in to the KCSO. He was released to jail staff.

On 2-10-17, James E. Fox III was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Mount Vernon Municipal Court. He was transported to Knox County Jail without incident.

On 1-26-17, a deputy was dispatched and responded to a complaint that persons unknown had used the victim's credit card to make an online purchase from an online retailer. The victim did close his account.

On 2-10-17, an officer responded to a report of theft of more than $18,000 at a Newark Rd. Sunoco station. Upon arrival the complainant stated an employee had stolen the deposits for the store beginning in Jan. 2017. A report was taken and forwarded to the detective division.

On 2-10-17, an officer observed a dumpster behind 600 W. High St. on fire. He advised dispatch to notify the fire department. The Fire Department arrived and put the fire out. Nothing more to report.

On 2-10-17, an officer responded to a Sychar Rd. address in reference to a female who had shot herself in the hand with a Derringer .22 pistol. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the neighbor who called in the incident. The neighbor stated the female called her and said she was cleaning the gun and it discharged, hitting her in the hand. The female was transported to KCH to be treated. The report will be forwarded to them prosecutor for review. The officer took possession of the gun and placed it into evidence.

On 2-10-17, an officer was dispatched to a S. McKenzie St. in reference to unauthorized charges on a checking account. Investigation is pending.

On 2-10-17, an officer was dispatched to the area of Sychar Rd. and Coshocton Ave. on a report of a loose dog. The officer made contact with the dog which appeared to be a pit bull and was light brown in color and friendly. The dog was also wearing a black collar with no do tags. It was transported to the Knox County Animal Shelter.

On 2-11-17, an officer was dispatched to the MVPD on a report of a theft of a steel drill, shocks and a 1993 Ford Ranger shock mount. Upon arrival, the officer took a report from the complainant. The incident is under investigation.

On 2-12-17, two officers responded to the American Legion Post on an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival the officers made contact with the key holder who confirmed a forced entry was attempted but not gained. Officers cleared the building and verified entry was not gained. Photographs were taken at the scene. Extra patrol was requested for the location.

On 2-12-17, an officer responded to a Shirley Ave. address in reference to a syringe on the ground. Then syringe was located and placed into the sharps container of vehicle #2.

On 2-12-17, an officer responded to the Goodwill Store on Coshocton Ave. in reference to a trespass complaint. Upon arrival the officers found two females in the dumpster behind Goodwill. Both were issues summonses for criminal trespass and one, Brandy Butcher, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.



On 2-9-17, Tyler Adams, 20, Pittsburgh Ave. was cited for failure to control.

On 2-10-17, Reva Crim, 27, Franklin St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On 2-10-17, Crystal Santavicca, 34, Coshocton was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.

On 2-10-17, Margaret Myers, 69, Ames St. was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

On 2-11-17, Simon Boucher, 33, Dogwood Terrace was cited for driving under suspension.

On 2-12-17, Steven Garrad, 49, N. McKenzie St. was cited for going the wrong way on a one way street.

On 2-12-17, Andrea White, 46, Woodlake Trail was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.



On 2-10-17, two vehicles were northbound on Newark Road. Eric Legron was stopped at the stop light on Newark Rd. and Mount Vernon Ave. when Margaret Myers rear ended Legron.

On 2-11-17, Steven B. Fletcher was parked on W. Gambier St. when an unknown vehicle struck him and left the scene.

Danville PD

Recover StolenDPD patch

On 2/8 DPD officer recovered stolen property from W. 2nd St. in Cardington. Cardington PD gave assistance. This comes from investigation on a Feb 8th theft on Richards St. Danville.

Drug Related

On 2/9 DPD officer located a baggie of marijuana and a cell phone on S. Market Street.

Traffic Complaint

On 2/9 DPD received complaint from a Danville Schools bus driver that Buckeye Rd. only has one lane open which makes road impassable for the school bus.

On 2/9 DPD received report of reckless driver in school zone on W. Rambo Street.


On 2/9 DPD handled a computer fraud issue on station.


On 2/9 DPD gave assistance to a citizen on S. Market Street.

On 2/11 DPD assisted OSP w/auto crash on Nashville Road.

Gas Drive Off

On 2/10  convenience store reported a $23.77 gas drive off. DPD officer located the person who returned to pay.

On 2/11  convenience store reported a $35.64 gas drive off. Incident is under investigation.


On 2/9 a citizen brought a boxer to DPD advising it was found in area of the Village Square. Officer took dog to police station and located owner who responded to recover their dog.

On 2/10 a person reported to DPD their brindle colored dog strayed away from their E. Walnut Street residence and is lost.

Attempted Theft

On 2/10 a S. Linwood Street resident reported to DPD someone attempted to steal an item off their property.


On 2/10 DPD received report of persons possibly wanting to do harm to another on Main Street.

Suspicious Vehicle/Persons

On 2/11 a DPD officer observed a suspicious vehicle at the Village Park on S. Market Street. Officer made identification on vehicle's occupants. Checked OK.
