MOUNT VERNON -  Main Street Mount Vernon (MSMV) is partnering with Ariel Corporation to host July’s First Friday, Friday, July 7, 2017, from 6-9 p.m., in downtown Mount Vernon.

With special guest The Shuman Band on the main stage, MSMV welcomes the popular classic car cruise-in around Public Square. There are several food concessions that will offer ice cream and desserts in addition to sandwiches and other delights. Visitors will find a friendly game of cornhole for any takers as well as many exhibitors on the Square.

On South Main Street local balloon artist, Rex Naylor, will be making balloon animal favorites for the kids, sponsored by Paragraphs Bookstore and SPI. Also on the stage at the Buchwald Plaza, the Sonrise Saints band will perform, sponsored by VerMac Industries.

Main Street Mount Vernon is grateful for the support of First Friday media sponsors in KnoxPages.com, the Mount Vernon News, WNZR, and WQIO/WMVO. WNZR will broadcast live from downtown during the event.

Traffic will be closed one block north of Public Square, around Public Square and on South Main Street down to Ohio Avenue at 4:30 p.m. The rain location for the band is the CA&C Depot, 1 Columbus Road. If you have questions, please contact Main Street Mount Vernon at 740-393-1481.
