MOUNT VERNON– Promotions at First-Knox National Bank were announced at the May board meeting. James Hobson was promoted to senior vice president, commercial lending. Hobson has over 28 years of banking experience and has been with First-Knox since 2006. He manages the commercial lending line of business. Hobson has served in a variety of roles over the course of his extensive career, including collections, consumer lending, and branch management.
“James’ broad commercial lending experience has prepared him to manage the commercial lending function,” Sant said. “He has done an excellent job of growing the business since he took over in 2015.”
Hobson is very active in the Mount Vernon and Fredericktown communities. He is a member of the following organizations: the Ohio Banker’s League, The Old Homestead Club, Mount Vernon Rotary Club, United Way Red Feather Society, Fredericktown Village Council, Paradise in the Sky board, president of the Fredericktown Community Development Foundation, and vice chairperson of Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries.
Hobson is a resident of Fredericktown, where he lives with his wife, Renee, and children, Nathan and Anna. He has one grown son, Tyler.
