The National Weather Service is continuing a heat advisory in effect from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Expect hazy, hot and humid conditions again Friday and avoid uncessary outside activities. A heat advisory means that high temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioning, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors. Anyone overcome by the heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. If heat stroke is suspected, call 9-1-1.
