Mount Vernon, Knox County, Ohio

MOUNT VERNON - A location for housing homeless women has been acquired due to space availability in the same building as the men’s shelter. Winter Sanctuary has signed a two year lease with Dave Hurlbut, owner of A Plus Autobrokers. The shelter thanks Carol Skinner, owner of Paw Patch Quilt Shop, for donating fabric and to several other women for donating time and talents to sew curtains for the facility.

Female volunteers are needed, specifically for the early morning shift which is from 6 am – 9 am, Monday – Thursday as well as every other Monday and Thursday for the overnight shift. Volunteer opportunities are also available from 9 am – 1 pm.

Please contact Amy Hudson if interested in volunteering or with questions at 740-263-4182.
