At 3:35 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported a criminal mischief and vandalism incident at a business on the 100-block of N. Sandusky Street. A suspect was identified.
At 10:35 a.m. on Monday, a victim reported the theft of a 1996 Ford ESR. It was recovered and towed from the scene by Howard Street Garage. A suspect was identified

Arrests and Charges
William Summerfield, 43, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Citations
Nathaniel Elswick, 32, of Mount Vernon was cited at 11:55 p.m. on Monday for driving under a suspended license and for driving below a posted minimum speed.
Raymond Guajardo, 25, of Mount Vernon was cited at 8:00 a.m. for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.
Lillie Conley, 77, of Mount Vernon was cited at 4:50 p.m. on Monday for failing to yield when entering the roadway.

Accidents:
At 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Lindsey M. Dile, 25, of Danville was stopped for traffic near Chestnut Street in her 2003 Mitsubishi facing southbound on N. Mulberry Street. Benjamin P. Meade, 27, of Howard was stopped immediately behind her in his 2014 Ford Fiesta. Raymond Guajardo, 25, of Mount Vernon approached from behind in his 2009 Dodge Calibre, failed to stop, and rear-ended Meade’s vehicle. The impact knocked Meade’s vehicle into Dile’s vehicle. Guajardo was cited for the incident.
At 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, David Baker, 35, of Mount Vernon was traveling westbound on Parrott Street in his 2007 Honda. Lillie Conley, 77, of Mount Vernon backed her 2002 Kia out of a private driveway and struck Baker’s vehicle on the passenger’s side. Conley was cited for the incident.
At 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Robert Lantz, 52, of Mount Vernon was traveling northbound on S. Park Street in his 2011 Buick Lacrosse. He attempted to parallel-park it and struck a parked 2001 Toyota Highlander.
