MOUNT VERNON-Once upon a time, listeners were lucky to dial in one or two local radio stations. Now, with the world of internet radio, literally tens of thousands of stations are available at a click of the mouse. As internet radio grows, what does this mean to traditional “brick and mortar” radio stations, and how will the age of “instant information” change the face of the media in the future?
Join local radio personality Marty Trese for “Don’t Touch That Dial,” Brown Bag Chat on , at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry Street. Trese will draw from her years with traditional radio stations, television and internet radio in this interesting look at radio past, present and future.
The program is free and open to the public of all ages. Bring a brown bag lunch. Beverages provided.
