MOUNT VERNON - The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will present a Spring Gardening Workshop March 19th, 2016 at The Memorial Theater, 112 East High Street. Three speakers will be featured and the event will also include vendors and lunch.

The event is titled, " A Walk Through the Garden Starting a long time ago in a prairie far away." Featured speakers will be Guy Denny, Knox County naturalist and storyteller who will bring to life the history of the prairie with stories of the plans and the people who lived with the grasslands. He is also a writer and photographer with a wealth of knowledge about the natural history of Ohio.

Trisha Clark, Program Manager at OSU Chadwick Arboretum will walk participants through growing communal garden spaces while building relationships. Garden Expert Tom Wood will be the final speaker. Come prepared to learn something new and get your questions answered.

Throughout the day there will be several opportunities to attend a trade show featuring Tower Garden, Craft Natural, Me and My Honey of Ohio, Bailiwick Farm and many more.
