The Danville Public Library will host a return engagement of “Unearth A Hidden Treasure: Our Very Own Antiques Road Show” courtesy of Garth’s Auction House of Delaware at St. Luke’s Community Center, Danville, on Saturday, August 17, Noon to 3:00 p.m. If you ever wondered if that yard sale find is really a treasure, or if Grandma’s costume jewelry is “real,” this will be an excellent opportunity to take a look at your family “treasures” with appraisers from the oldest auction and appraising house in Ohio.
A $5 donation to St. Luke’s Community Center per item will be required for each appraisal, with a limit of two items per person. Participants will be responsible for own transportation and handling of items. Space will be available for larger items such as furniture. This program is open to the public for free viewing and is the second of two programs.
At the first program in June during the Groundbreaking Reads Adult Summer Reading program, participants brought in items such as antique firearms, quilts, tools, pottery and paintings for appraisal.
