UTICA -- The Utica Police Department in northern Licking County is investigating a series of mid-day Burglaries. The first two were conducted Thursday November 7th in the area of the 200 block of N. Jefferson Street and 1st block of North Street. Utica Police Department was able to obtain a picture of the suspect vehicle being a white colored minivan, possibly a Kia Sedona which was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance camera. More images of the vehicle and possible suspects are being obtained after analysis of the surveillance system. During this crime, the vehicle circled the area for a short period of time, while the male suspect who had gained entry by forcing a rear door to the residence was inside. The vehicle then picked the male suspect up after the crime.
On Monday November 18th, the criminals struck a residence in the 300 block of Church Street, also gaining entry by forcing a rear door to the residence. This vehicle and suspects match the description of vehicle and individuals that were seen in early October, stealing scrap metal from a rear lot at Catalina Tempering located on Carey Street within the Village.
