MOUNT VERNON - Knox County Prosecutor Chip McConville says two individuals were indicted this week by the Grand Jury for Grand Theft from non-profit agencies.
Stephanie Gore - Turner is facing a Grand Theft charge, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly stealing $29,000 from NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) Knox County. She is also charged with forgery involving agency records. McConville says the alleged theft ocurred between February and June of this year.
McConville also said Christi Hawkins is facing a Grand Theft Charge for allegedly stealing from Habitat for Humanity. On their website, Hawkins is listed as the Executive Director of the agency.
