GAMBIER - Police issued a nationwide warrant for Kevin Remillard, 48, Monday in connection with the murder of his cousin Nickolas Remillard.
According to warrant: "Kevin R. Remillard did murder by purposely causing the death of Nickolas K. Remillard."
On Sunday evening, Nickolas Remillard, 20, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound at his residence at 405 Gaskin Avenue in Gambier, according to a press release from the KCSO. The sheriff's office is now searching for Kevin Remillard, 48, who resides at the same address.
The KCSO reported that officers went to the residence on Sunday afternoon to check on the welfare of Kevin Remillard: officers were unable to locate Nick or Kevin Remillard. Upon discovering a possible crime scene, a search warrant was obtained. Nick Remillard's body was later found in an abandoned pool behind the house. According to the release, officers found a note left in Kevin's room saying he had killed Nick.

According to the Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer, Kevin Remillard walks with a limp and is missing some of his upper teeth. He has relatives in Knox County, Licking County and Massachusetts. He may be riding a black bicycle with a front fender and numerous stickers.
The sheriff added that Remillard is still considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Members of the public are encouraged to call 911 or 740-397-1111 extension 1 if they spot Remillard.
