MOUNT VERNON – It wouldn’t be a Festival without all the traditional fair foods. From funnel cakes to ice cream, from chicken to chops, from kettle corn to sno-cones, from BBQ ribs to Pizza, the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival has something to tickle the taste buds of everyone.
Food booths will be set up around the Square and down South Main Street beginnning Thursday, so sampling of the food with the sights and sounds of the Festival are in easy reach for everyone. The core food vendors at the Festival include: the Exchange Club incredible 2” BBQ pork chops; Mental Health Associations’ sno-cones; Thomas Concessions’ grilled bologna; Cowgirls Cattle Company’s delicious chopped and shredded beef; and Woolson's kettle korn, The Scoop with scrumptious Velvet Ice Cream, and Big Pappy’ featuring their mouth-watering BBQ ribs.
Other Festival greats include black raspberry fry pies from American Pride Service; Donuts from Our Three Donuts; blooming onions, pizza burgers, steak burgers, delicious gyros, fried veggies, and fried cheese by G & G Concessions; McGregor Concessions with frozen cheesecake and Grilled Cheese Melt; sugar waffles from B&B Waffles; and Deb’s Dog House with ¼ lb. All Beef Hotdogs. Back again this year is Rochelle’s with Cinnamon Rolls; Hawaiian Sno2Go; Whit’s Frozen Custard; and Jephs’ Barnyard Bundles.
