Arrests and Charges:

Andrew Barber, 26, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 5:55 a.m. on September 29, 2014 on a warrant for a probation violation.

Scott Cosner, 29, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. on October 4, 2014 for violating the terms of his house arrest.

Jeremy Dinsmore, 34, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 6:55 p.m. on October 4, 2014 for violating the terms of his house arrest.

Morgan Blankenship, 23, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 7:10 p.m. on October 6, 2014 for violating the terms of his house arrest.

Jonathan Williams, 22, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 4:05 p.m. on October 23, 2014 on an outstanding warrant.

Daniel Morris, 28, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 7:30 p.m. on October 26, 2014 on an outstanding warrant.

Erin Novo, 30, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on October 31, 2014 for a probation violation.

James Logan, 43, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday for theft.

 

Traffic Citations:

Ben Cook, 20, of Mount Vernon was cited at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday for driving under a suspended license and for failing to control his vehicle.

Accidents

Just after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Ben Ross Cook, Jr., 20, of Mount Vernon was heading westbound on W. Chestnut Street in his 1998 Ford Mustang.  Near 704 W. Chestnut Street, he lost control of his vehicle and struck two parked vehicles, a 1986 Dodge R50 and a 2003 Chrysler CVN, both owned by Paul Weatherbee.  Cook was cited for the incident.

 

Incidents:

At 9:20 a.m. on Monday, Rent 2 Own reported the theft of an HP tablet, a Samsung tablet, and a Blu smartphone.  The total value of the items was reported as $1,111.26.  A suspect was identified.

At 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer responded to a resident regarding an unruly juvenile.

At 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, an officer responded to a report of shoplifting at the Kroger.  A suspect was identified and arrested on an outstanding warrant.  A bottle of Dr. Scholl’s Heel Cream was recovered and a surveillance recording was collected as evidence.
