MOUNT VERNON - The Knox County Board of Commissioners is seeking a full-time Dog Warden. This position is responsible for the administrative operation of the Animal Shelter and its various functions. Candidates must have strong management and leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and an interest in animal welfare.
The position became open when current dog Warden, Jordan Barnard, submitted his resignation to the Comissioners last Friday. Emily Marth, HR/Safety and Loss Control with the County tells KnoxPages.com that Barnard's last day will be February 6th. He has served as Dog Warden since November 4, 2013. Marth says Barnard has accepted a probation officer position in another county.
