Arrests and Charges:

Malcom Cornell, 31, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 3:00 p.m. last Monday for burglary (when person is present) and for kidnapping.

Jeremy Hayes, 25, of Mount Vernon was arrested during a traffic stop at 1:15 a.m. on Friday for violating the terms of his house arrest.

Melissa Plagman, 36, of Howard was arrested at 12:40 a.m. on Sunday for theft, for drug abuse, for possession of illegal drugs, and for violating the terms of her probation.

Ryan Gibson, 48, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday for assault and for aggravated menacing.

 

Traffic Citations:

Pamela Eberwine, 55, of Fresno was cited at 9:00 p.m. on Friday for failing to yield the right-of-way when turning left.

Joseph Fulton, 30, of Mount Vernon was cited at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday for driving under the influence, for driving under the influence within 20 years of a prior offense, and for failing to stop after a crash.

Accidents

At 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Janette M. Maglott, 31, of Mount Vernon attempted to turn left onto Columbus Road in her 2002 Dodge Durango.  When she did so, she failed to yield to an oncoming 2004 Chevy Venture, driven by Michael D. Noce, 58, of Mount Vernon, which struck her vehicle.  

At 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Pamela L. Eberwine, 55, of Fresno was heading westbound on Coshocton Avenue in her 2011 Volkswagen Jetta.  Molly B. Pugh, 22, of Howard was heading eastbound on Coshocton Avenue in her 2008 Chevy Cobalt.  When Eberwine attempted to turn left onto Vernedale Drive, she pulled in front of Pugh and Pugh struck her vehicle in the side.  Eberwine was cited for the incident.

Incidents:

At 12:05 a.m. on Friday, a victim reported the theft of an iPhone 4s and a red-and-black leather Ohio State University jacket at Legend’s Sports Bar.  A suspect was identified.

At 12:50 p.m. on Friday, a victim reported the theft of her Amazon Kindle HD tablet from a room at Knox Community Hospital.

At 1:35 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a report of shoplifting at the Wal-Mart.  Suspects were identified.  The $215.90 worth of stolen merchandise included a bottle of Dismo liquor, a necklace, two packages of hair dye, a baby-bottle, and a package of infant clothes.

At 1:40 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a disturbance call at The Learning Center.

At 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, an employee of Rent-2-Own reported the theft of services regarding a 32” Toshiba television and a Sony PlayStation 4.

At 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, a victim reported the theft of her CES debit card and driver’s license from her locked vehicle on the 200-block of W. Curtis Street.

At 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, a victim reported the theft of fifty-seven Dextroamphetamine pills from his apartment on the 700-block of E. High Street.

At 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a reported fight at Rookie’s Bar.  Suspects were identified.

Just before 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, an officer responded to a report of a burglary on the 600-block of W. Vine Street.  A suspect was identified.

At 7:55 a.m. on Sunday, a victim reported an incident of telecommunication harassment.  A suspect was identified.

At 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, a disturbance was reported at an apartment on the 000-block of Oak Drive.  A suspect was arrested, the front door frame to the residence was damaged, and a written note was collected as evidence.
