DANVILLE - The “stars” will come out to shine as the Danville Public Library celebrates its fiftieth golden anniversary with an entertainment packed evening variety show on Saturday, October 3, 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at St. Luke’s Community Center, 7 West Rambo Street, Danville.

“Ed Sullivan” Dayne Baughman will serve as host for the evening as the Danville Public Library looks back at its history beginning in 1965 to the present.

Performances will include Darell Sanson’s Safire Sun, Ken Barnett as “Red Skelton,” Mike and Chris Petee and Desmond Wall singing as “Peter, Paul & Mary”, Sisters Rose Sebouhian and Betty Carpenter, the Kokosing River Surf Club, Allie Dible, William E. Bennett as “Elvis”, Heidi Heiks, Sharon Jenings, Angelica, and Danville Local Historian David Greer.

The program is free and open to the public of all ages. Bring a favorite memory of the Danville Public Library to share. Door prizes and giveaways will be awarded throughout the evening. Refreshments will be provided.

Funding and donations for the celebration have been provided through local and community supporters and donations, the Friends of the Library and the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
