GAMBIER - People who both enjoy fine crafts and wish to help fight hunger in Knox County will have the ideal opportunity on, Friday Nov. 13. Kenyon’s Craft Center, in cooperation with The Kenyon Review, will be hosting the eighth annual Empty Bowls Soup Supper and Auction at Kenyon’s Peirce Hall from 5 to 7 p.m.

A humble meal of soup and bread will serve to remind attendees of the many in Knox County who have little to eat, due to current economic hardships. Guests will have the opportunity to buy or bid on pottery bowls created by Kenyon students, faculty, staff, and some community members in earlier workshops at the Craft Center. Donations for the meal will be added to the bowls and art sales and presented to Knox County’s Food for the Hungry program.
